I used to use a smart phone but don't anymore (mostly because I got sick of charging the damn thing so often). Now I am back to a bog standard phone that makes calls and send texts and I get a battery life of a week. Plus I don't have to work about app security. I couldn't be happier.
Who ever decided that regional licensing restrictions in a digital market makes good business sense needs to be sacked.
These restrictions are the biggest factor driving people to piracy and it is beyond me how there are people who fail to see this. If the licensing industries are to remain relevant, they are going to have to give up a little bit of control. It will benefit everyone.
The thing is, if Mega got shut down you would also have to shut down Dropbox/Google Drive/Skydrive/iCloud/Ubuntu One etc.
Mega is first and foremost a cloud storage service. Yes, some users will use it to share copyright material but, as I have said many times, technology is neutral - it is the activities of the users that is legal or illegal.
