Cameron, Obama, Hollande. It doesn't matter what party they belong to or if they are left or right wing. They are all greedy, corrupt parasites who will say anything to curry favour with the electorate.
The system is broken and there are no quick fixes, it needs a reboot.
It is common sense. You would be amazed at the number of artists and bands who give away one or two songs to promote an upcoming album.
Quite a high profile one is Joe Bonamassa who, last year, gave away the title song from the album Driving Towards the Daylight a month or so before the album came out.
The Pixies not long ago gave away free copies of 4 songs performed live.
There is a new band called Snakecharmer who also gave away snippets from their upcoming album just this month.
These are just a few examples of how artists can use giveaways as a promotional tool and make a nice living.
Ah, American stupidity. One of the few things we can count on. I cannot believe that tax payer funds would be wasted on such bollocks. How about investing in better mental healthcare for those who need it instead? How about doing something about the belief that some people have that mass murder is a good way to get famous? How about mandatory background checks and psyche evaluations for ALL gun sales?
There are better ways to reduce the risk of violent crime than trying to find a link between virtual and real violence.
You really are a moron. Putting aside the fact that Google has a service that allows people to BUY music, Google is a SEARCH ENGINE. It returns results based on what the USER TYPES IN.
Big shock, if I were to type 'free Led Zeppelin downloads' it will bring up websites offering free Led Zeppelin downloads.
If I type in 'buy Led Zeppelin songs' (as I just did) the first result is Amazon.
That's what it's going to take to kill off this crap once and for all. Localised campaigns are no longer sufficient, we need a coordinated global campaign to show those in power that we will not stand for this any more.
GEMA is doing far more to destroy music than piracy ever could. They demand exorbitant fees from users, clubs, pretty much anyone who wants to play music and do they even pass on that money to the people who make that music, the artists?
How has their activities not been classed as extortion? That is what they are involved in.
Better to make your own wallet, anyway, rather than buying one made by Chinese or Filipino children in a sweatshop where they 'work' in squalor conditions for 12 hours a day with no breaks and 10p an hour.

Wow, you just described MAFIAA perfectly.
You could also apply it to those who caused the global financial crisis.

I guarantee they are among those to take advantage of public wi-fi to check their e-mail in Starbucks. Talk about hypocrisy.
