I am honored to have scouted most of the Gatsby entries (all except the platformer). It's amazing what creativity a free Great Gatsby can inspire not even a month into its public domain status!
The whole Gamestop/stonks story tells me that what happened in the movie Trading Places wouldn't work in real life as telling by this IRL example; The Dukes wouldn't be ruined; they would just prevent future Winthorpes and Valentines (i.e. Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy's respective characters) from ever working in the stock market again.
Discord has every right to get rid of servers under Section 230. That being said, we also have every right to call bullshit on Discord's moderation decisions.
It's excruciatingly clear the GOP (and by proxy the Journal) couldn't give any less of a genuine shit about corporate power or censorship. The GOP's only real interest here is in bullying Silicon Valley giants into carrying bigoted hate speech and political disinformation,
More than that, I would say: The right wing on the United States wants a monopoly on the discourse similar to AM Talk Radio (witness Rush Limbaugh and all the other AM talkers such as Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Michael Medved, and Michael Savage).
The only thing protected by Section 230 is Big Tech and its owners, the Mega Rich.
WRONG A.F.. Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act protects every single website out there, and it protects the users as well. Just read the damn thing if you don't believe me.
Late last year, the Tampa Bay Times broke the news the local sheriff's office had set up a "pre-crime" program targeting schoolkids in Pasco County. The same program used by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office to harass residents into "moving or suing" (yes, those are the Sheriff's words) had been retooled to target minors, utilizing highly questionable access to students' records.
All this time we've been reading Orwell's 1984 as a prescient premonition when we should've been reading Dick's Minority Report instead.
BTW, You Canadians are getting a better deal out of the public domain than us Americans: the works of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix are free for everyone since New Year's Day!

more games
It looks like we're getting a few more games in, such as A jigsaw puzzle game and a board game based on an E.E. Cummings poem. I'm really satisfied with all the entries this year!

I guess thanks to the insurrection, "Red Hat" has the same connotation of "Violent White Supremacist" that "Swastika", "Nazi", and "Confederate" have.
We can't have nice things anymore thanks to those violent white supremacists.

I don't get it.
Isn't the idea behind compulsory mechanical licenses that the © owner of the song composition gets paid but they can't veto whenever somebody covers their song? If that's the case, how is that the Jehovah's Witnesses have a case here?
And if that's the case, wouldn't that throw the idea of making cover songs into legal jeopardy?

That being said, Canada is required by the CUSMA treaty to extend their comparatively short life+50 term to a long-ass life+70 term and that makes me both sad and mad.
