I voted you Insightful because you're the first person to actually try to answer the question in a serious way. Come on, everyone else, you could at least try to be civil and invite discussion.
They used Bulletstorm as their example of a great game that didn't sell? I tried the demo for that game and hated it. I won't buy it even if it hits $10. If they want people to spend money on games, they need to make good games.
They can't just spend a lot of money on development and marketing and assume that means people should pay a lot for it.
I say patents. Copyright holds back culture and discourse. Patents hold back medical and technological progress. I consider prevention of medicine and technology more critically damaging than prevention of culture.
I'm inclined to believe this is just stupidity and not maliciousness. Of course, I'll be happy to take back my assessment if they start suing people or submitting takedowns.
The question, as always in this situations, is: What happens if Blackboard goes under and the patents are sold? Can the purchaser go ahead and sue everyone?
This is obviously anti-artist revisionist-history propaganda, and you are behaving irresponsibly by publishing it. This article advocates home taping, which destroys thousands of jobs, and thus this is a rogue site. Expect ICE to be here any minute...
Some idiotic historian or anthropologist (or high school student) in 200 years will take this article literally and have a very odd picture of the advent of "movies" and "talkies".
No, not all would use it, but many would. Those who are not afraid to use formula (of uncertain origin) would not likely have an issue with more-similar-to-human artificial breast milk.
The gamers aren't necessarily the ones likely to be confused. Keep in mind that there are lots of morons in a hurry (i.e. parents) that tend to buy video games for others, but have little ability to differentiate and are likely to be confused by any similarities.
Regardless, given the nature of the game, I would guess it is unlikely to be boxed for sale in a store.
It makes perfect sense. Sometimes God provides support for the shelter via generous donations from philanthropists. Sometimes he doesn't, so they have to whore themselves out to corporations. It's simple, really.
