I think such limitations should be applied only in very limited quantities. Unless they're "urinating for the greater good" then I see no reason for them to be recorded; but if they're taking phone calls, doing paperwork, etc on the publics' dime... the 'we the people' should have every right to view that boring stuff if we wanna.
Public Servants shouldn't have privacy while on the job.
Also we've got some people who're really good detecting when video/audio has been tampered with. It's not like everybody in the justice system is completely ignorant...
Ah yes, nothing easier than perhaps lumping somebody into the easily-clumped conditioned-by-media group called "crackpots, conspiracy theorists, nutters, tin-foil hatter, et al"
Accepting that anybody who might fall under such a stereotype does a horrid disservice to all those who would question--are you the sort who doesn't question? I don't think so!
So, Craigslist is the sort to pull a Desert Eagle and shoot their own foot off in order to do-away with some dastardly housefly?
An alternate theory: It's not the well-intentioned creators of Craigslist but instead some jack-hole rogue lawyer who has a tenuous claim of being connected to Craigslist and is extorting money from anybody he can before leaving the country.
Wait, that's just silly: he wouldn't leave the country, extorting people via 'The Courts' isn't illegal.
It could be worse: at least they're not crucifying people, have "Crusades" where thousands (millions?) die or flying planes into buildings which then collapse in a curious manner resembling a controlled demolition despite the fact no other skyscraper in history has ever been brought down by plane impact or fire...
I'd put PETA on the "not quite dangerous" end of the crazies list.
Yeah, but I dare you to find an OS distributed in the last 5 years that didn't support FAT--it's just one of those stupid prone-to-errors file layouts that everybody uses for some dumb reason.
"...but this seems like a case where the history books are being revised by the losers."
I like that, and will likely re-use it somewhere in the future.
There's no point in being upset--the shadow puppets are just reading their scripts, playing their roles.
Just ask yourself the standard crime investigation questions:
Who has the opportunity?
Who stands to benefit?
Who has the money?
These are generally easy to pull apart--you can start & end with "follow the money" as the other questions will be answered in answering only that one. Or, more succinctly: It was never about "justice" or fairness or any of the other ballyhoo they're going to trot out.
