I think you may have just come up with a workable legal system. It would certainly speed up things and with appeals being the same procedure you could make it a best 3 out of 5.
Yeah because once they have won a judgement against a family everyone will suddenly think this is the best hotel to stay at, and all the people that may have read the negative review will forget all about it.
The hotel is doing it wrong. They are playing Goliath.
They had 2 good options, ignore the review, or use the evidence they have to demonstrate the family is in error. (inviting the family back for a complimentary stay probably would have been helpful. Instead they have chosen to be bullies.
Well done Lobo, I started to hate the thought of ten when I was at 6 & 7 but I slogged through and by time I got to 3 I was trying to anticipate number 1. I guessed Righthaven and was wrong. Enjoyable and well thought out thanks.
Even with comprehensive coverage they won't cover it if you leave it running with the keys in it.
If you only have have liability coverage and it is stolen they won't cover it at all.
Most of the so called "Hacks" were results of Sony failing to to implement basic security procedures to secure their networks, much like locking the door on the car you left running but leaving the window rolled down.
This is Sony's mess they failed to take reasonable precautions.
I sympathize with this woman for her loss and want to give her the benefit of the doubt for thinking she really is doing something that will help prevent what happened to her friend.
That said I cant help but harbor a hope that others will pick up on this and use it to turn the general public against PROTECT IP.
My son (fresh out of high school) started playing with his video camera and made a pretty cool video. He put it on YouTube so his friends could see it. Google contacted him about advertising/Adsense and he said ok. So 2 weeks later they terminated his account for irregular activity and deny his appeal. This is where I was informed of the whole situation. My attempts to get any kind of response have failed.
I am now very cautious about relying on Google for anything.

If you take and sizable collection of material from this area you are going to be able to find a dozen or more similar pictures.
It is as if you compared the portfolios of two baseball photographers and picked out a dozen matching pictures.
This is insanity.
