I sent them a nice letter explaining that I expect a letter before Sept 1 stating that current subscribers are going to be grandfathered in. If I don't get that I'll drop Netflix. It will hurt emotionally, I've been with them over a decade, but I'm already having a hard time justifying the $22 a month(with taxes). The one kid who watches a lot will be leaving for college in Sept so this is convenient timing for me.
Something that doesn't get discussed much is how digital OTA broadcasts are changing viewing. My picture is awesome and I've got 13 channels of **** on the TV to choose from.
I don't know how you figure your movie file size but just recording an hour of Amazing Race in HD from my OTA antenna on my HTPC is almost 5 gig. Filling Terra-bytes is falling of a log simple.

@Bob
Read learn and understand the above post it might help you long term.
This is what you and your buddies are creating. The resentment against entitlement is building. Not just so called IP, but health care, year long unemployment benefits and more. people that have to go to work every day and do the same thing over and over don't give a flying fig about your creativity. If you want to be paid for it then create something new and marvelous every day otherwise head over to Mickey Dees and flip burgers.
People not only don't care if you create or not, but if you are going to try to force them to pay for your creations they actively want you to stop creating and quietly go away.
At least in this case I would say that is a good thing.
Wacky wording aside (I read it three times and it still didn't make sense) at least there is now a ruling against MPAA.
I can't believe how blindly you all follow little mikee. These are simply allegations and until proven in a court these businessmen are innocent. It isn't like they stole music and we have a clear recored of their IP address to clearly identify them as criminals.
It is just like you coolade drinkers to to try to equate slanderous allegations with stealing music and movies.
I think that this is becoming less and less of a problem(plagiarism).
Because of the connected nature of the interwebs people who do plagiarize are increasingly being outed. I believe this will continue until it gets to where once you publish something it will be logged in databases immediately and any attempt at plagiarism will be easily recognized and bring with it unwelcome attention.
Yes you are correct. The part about data that people assumed(incorrectly) was private getting spread all over isn't at all in keeping with the news that is commented on here.
By the way where is your cutting edge website? I'd like to see it.
