"both memes in the Scribblenauts game without licensing them"
Culture... they just dont get it. When your meme has a team of lawyers... there's a meme in there somewhere.
It is no different than shutting down local auto shops for repairing cars with non-oem equipment. Chevy does not endorse some Asian company making alternators and selling them via NAPA, or Pep-Boys, but it is not illegal in any way shape or form... Yet.
Re: Megaupload was doing BUSINESS in the United States.
" The Register has an entirely different slant on Megaupload than " LOL you mean another content provider had the same outlook as the MPAA? Go figure.
So much fail:

"The research comes from the Carnegie Mellon University's Initiative for Digital Entertainment Analytics (IDEA), which tracked the number of Megaupoload users in 12 countries by using Google AdWords estimates. The sales and rental data for the period came from two anonymous studios, but only for digital sales since the data for physical media was deemed "less reliable"."

We cant tell you the law or reprint it for you because of copyright. ALRIGHT OOTBJOEbOB... I would LOVE to see you defend this one.
I have taken off the gauntlet and slapped you in the face with it.
They arent going anywhere. Lets call it for what it is... an empty threat trying to gain attention. Making money hand over fist and they are just going to walk away... yeah ok.
"real level of security their communication enjoy" - Thats easy... NONE. Dont expect any privacy anymore. Our laws are interpreted in a twisted way that we dont even know about. I wouldnt doubt if the Constitution as we know it now has been "interpreted" down to nothing more than a fancy old-timy document. Awwww lookie here how cute, right to privacy, fair trials... awww weren't they so cute back in the day.

"DOJ to block a full, fair and thorough exploration " - ARRRGHHHHH!!!!! Ah cmon Mike. You know as well as I do they were going to use any excuse to keep this secret.
I think if these bastards fear for their lives, even just once, it will make them think twice before trying to railroad someone else this way in the future, or better yet, make them seek a new career.
When the Justice system fails time after time after time again, and we see pedophiles, and sexual assaults get let go and sometimes perpetrators rewarded for it, then I am glad they are doing what they are doing. Scare the living shit out of them. Make them think twice before they try this kind of stuff again.
