Amazon.com Layoffs

Amazon.com announced that they're laying off some of their staff. Despite the fact that today's market is tanking, the article makes it sound as if Wall Street will think this is a good thing. What's interesting is that every other dot com layoff has been looked upon badly (such as Boo.com, Beyond.com, and Value America). I guess Amazon can do no wrong.
