Register for your Techdirt Account.

You’re just one short step away from having your very own Techdirt account!

Signing up for a Techdirt account isn't required, but it does have some advantages. Beyond saving your info so you don't have to re-enter it each time you comment, a Techdirt account gives you a public profile on the site, where all the comments you've made and stories you've submitted that we've published will be collected. If you've been leaving comments with an email address, you'll be able to go back and "claim" past comments, as well. A Techdirt account also gives you access to comment notifications and is required for Techdirt Insider membership features. We plan to continue rolling out useful features for registered users, though you'll always be able to comment without registering.

To create a new account, please fill out the form below, and we’ll take good care of you. Thanks for being a part of the Techdirt community!
