Dealing with Sudden Wealth Syndrome

Here's an article talking about the psychological problems that the suddenly rich have to face. It's actually pretty interesting. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of folks who become suddenly wealthy can't handle it. I think a lot of the trouble comes from doing a direct association between money and happiness. Of course, the folks I know who have become suddenly wealthy and who appeared to handle it well were, for the most part, fairly content and laid back before they became wealthy anyway. I think that helps. The people who are upset with life and expect money to change all that are asking for trouble.
