Altavista brings US style net access to the UK

In a totally unexpected announcement, Altavista indicated that it would provide unmetered net access in the UK. For our readers in the US, this won't be a big deal but the fact is that the lack of unmetered access has hampered the ability of the UK to compete in the dot com world. This announcement will cause a huge shake up in the UK portal market and will further accelerate net development here in the UK.
