JFax Buys EFax

from the it's-about-time dept

Unless you follow the online fax industry closely, you probably had trouble telling efax and jfax apart. So, it's probably a good thing that they've decided to merge. As long as I can keep getting free faxes, I'm fine with it.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    No Subject Given

El fax libre es una buena cosa. Si las compañías son iguales, no deben combinarse? Pienso tan. He utilizado su servicio y lo tengo recieved el Spam. Una persona me envió un fax sobre comprar la materia. Arg.

Actually, I already have GFax.com. Could I get your address so that I may serve you papers? These .com startups are getting out of hand. Where do these people get the money? I see a *new* .com [no slow buildups like yahoo/amazon] but sites that are HUGE. I like to see more effort in .com and less money. -MrWhite@collectivethoughts.org

    Why keep *J*fax?

The article says the new company will be called Jfax? Why? All the big-names nowadays are e-this or i-that, so I'd have thought efax would be the preferred name.

Just what the heck is the "J" supposed to mean, anyways?
