Lawsuits A Waste Of Time For Music Industry

from the but-will-they-ever-figure-that-out? dept

A report from Forrester points out what we all already know: all these lawsuits concerning MP3s are a waste of time for the music industry, and they should spend their resource on adapting to the world rather than denying its very existence.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

We'll Always Rule The Music World

Forrester is WRONG! Lawsuits are not a waste of time for us in the music industry. We'll sue everybody in the whole world if we have to. We'll never stop - NEVER!!!

We'll sue you, your dad, your mom, our mom, your grandmother, our auntie, your uncle, brother, 4-year old little sister - WE WILL NOT BE STOPPED!!!!!

We will get money from customers somehow, someway; and guess what - it's actually more lucrative to sue people and have the courts take money from them, than selling CD's and crap by musicians.

All we have to do is maintain that our 'rights' are being violated, and with our army of lawyers who can be bought and paid to take on any case, no matter how ridiculous or disgraceful, we can get into your pockets. It's really a sweet deal.

So for all those negative-Nellies, those naysayers of non-conformity to our way of thinking - LAWSUITS ARE GOOD, BABY! REAL GOOD! HA HA HA HA HA Ha ha h...........
