Cramer Goes Really Negative On Dot Coms
from the going-nowhere dept
Jim Cramer over at TheStreet.com has finally gone totally negative on dot com stocks. He says that before we had once-in-a-lifetime up move that is being replaced by a once-in-a-lifetime down move. He doesn't seem to think there is any end to the decline. I wonder what this means for his own dot com. Anyway, I have to say I think he's over exaggerating the problems. To lump all "dot coms" into one basket is unfair and stupid. The fact is there are plenty of companies out there with no real business model, and people are suddenly realizing that. The few that are really adding value, have a strong management team, and have a real solid business plan, will survive and will make lots of money. So, what ends the decline? Nothing ends the decline for bad companies. Go find some good ones, and stop complaining.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.
Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.
While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.
