CD-ROM Doing Medical Diagnostics

Well, here's a bleeding edge story that actually has to do with blood. Apparently, someone has been working on a modified CD-ROM drive that will perform medical diagnostics for you. All you need to do is put a drop of blood or urine on the CD, and it will run it through some tests. When does this become a biometric identification system? Soon we won't be able to use our computers until we give it some blood.
