Give Dot Coms Some Credit

from the they've-changed-the-workplace dept

Here's an article arguing that we should give dot coms credit for changing the workplace into a better place. The writer suggests that dot coms give people jobs that are much more fulfilling, and allow them to explore, take chances and grow - because they play to win. "Old Economy" companies play to not lose, and are too bureaucratic. I'm not sure if it really holds true, but it's interesting to think about. I do think that you're more likely to find people in "new economy" jobs who really believe in their work.
