How To Deal With Dot Com Debt

from the *now*-they-tell-us? dept

CFO.com has a nice little article that explains to companies how they should deal with dot com debt. That's money owed to your company from a dot com - who might not pay. They have a few examples of how different companies with lots of dot com customers judged the credit risk from those dot coms. Not surprisingly, the standards have become more stringent - but the fact is that credit-worthiness of dot coms is still judged differently than more established companies. Though, I do still like the plan of some companies which forces questionable dot coms to pay up front. That's the best credit policy I can think of.
