ISPs Signing Spammers To Pink Contracts

A good article looking at the case of a possible spammer who claims they're not spamming and their ISP. The most interesting part, though, is the fact that struggling ISPs are signing special "pink contracts" with spammers. These contracts bypass the ISPs anti-spam policies at a higher cost to pay for the "risk" involved. However, in this case, the ISP is actually a reseller of Verio's service, and no one spoke to Verio about the deal. So, when the spam complaints came in, they went to the upstream provider, Verio, who's now looking at kicking the ISP itself off their network. I'm sure the lawyers will have fun with this one.
