How Technology Helped People Communicate

Throughout all of this there are plenty of examples of both good and bad uses of technology. I'd like to highlight some of the good uses of technology. First off, for the most part, the web held up very well. People all over worked to get news and information out, to create sites for survivors, and to pull people together for blood and monetary donations. At the same time, cell phones played a large role in both communication between people throughout the country, as well as those tragic, but useful, phone calls from the planes. Beyond that people used email and instant messaging to contact friends and family.
