Fighting Spam Not That Easy

A look at some of the legal issues involved in fighting spam. The article talks about why most legislation is likely to fail because it's tough to properly define spam in a law, because lots of legitimate email might then be considered spam (so why was it possible to make a similar law for faxes?). Most of the article talks about the legal fight between MAPS and Experian after MAPS put Experian on their spammers list. Obviously, this isn't going to be solved by laws any time soon. A better technological solution is still needed. Though, people who use SpamCop seem to really like it.
