I've been going to a lot of weddings lately, so I've become something of an expert at online wedding registries. They're really useful for a lot of people - and it seems that the rich and famous are no exception. Liza Minnelli is getting ready to marry producer David Gest and their wedding registry is online for all to see. The article discusses some of the gifts, and points out that doing a search on WeddingChannel, they found another David Gest marrying someone named Liza Minelli (one "n") the following week in NY. The writer of the article seems to think this is a "strange coincidence" but it seems pretty obvious that it's someone trying to cash in on the knowledge that the real Minnelli registry is online. So, if random people want to buy gifts for Minnelli & Gest, they may accidentally find the registry of Minelli & Gest and send whoever really set it up some free stuff.
