Jack Valenti was recently heard complaining about how the internet was going to destroy the movie industry. Today, however, he was raving about how the movie industry has had one of the best years ever. Profits are way up. Attendance is way up. Clearly, somewhere he's not being completely honest... and it certainly seems likely that he's (at the very least) "shading" the truth when he talks to Congress.
