Public Use Computers

Most of us have our own computer (or more) at home and/or at work. However, there are still plenty of people who don't have one for a variety of reasons (mainly cost) who still like to use them. That's where public use computers come into play, whether in libraries or elsewhere. Especially in rural settings they're growing increasingly popular. It is amusing, by the way, that this article discusses an organization called the RIAA (Rural Internet Access Authority) which is working to bring internet access to folks in North Carolina. It's nice to see a "good" RIAA as opposed to the evil music industry RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) which is trying to have all of its customers branded as crooks.
