European Commision Gives In

In May European operators lobbied the EC to help them with regulations that would ease the burdens of rolling out 3G networks. Looks like the effort worked. Today the commission will release a statement that says it supports plans to share infrastructure and extend or sell off licenses. It's a signal to national regulators that they should follow suit so that their carriers are able to stay competitive with other European carriers. But that's all it is. Carrier are still at the mercy of national regulators to provide actual relief. As we've said before what carriers really need is a refund, which they aren't going to get.

    Fixed Wireless technology
