Man Kills Wife Over Internet Porn

from the maybe-it-is-dangerous... dept

For all of the stories about how "dangerous" internet pornography is, here's the first story I can remember hearing about that directly links the two... It seems that an Army lieutenant colonel killed his wife after she became angry at him for looking at internet porn. While clearly I'm joking a bit about this being a "link" between online porn and violence, I wouldn't be surprised to see anti-porn crusaders use this as an example of the dangers of porn.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

More to do with War than Porn

This fine example of America's modern military official throttled his wife with a computer cable and beat her to death. And he's not the first. I've heard of numerous murders over the past three months when military men who served on the front lines have returned to the US and killed their wives. It sounds like the more appropriate protesting should come from the anti-military lobbyists.
