KPMG Doing BSA's Dirty Work In South Africa

It seems that the Business Software Alliance (the Microsoft sponsored group the routinely puts out scary looking numbers about how much software piracy is going on - numbers that are pretty easily shown to be wrong) has hired KPMG in South Africa to send out "antipiracy agents" to go door to door to companies to check on their software licensing compliance. I'm not sure under what legal authority these agents are allowed to snoop around your computer system in South Africa, but I'd have to wonder. It also seems like this would be the perfect opening for a "social engineer" hacker to weasel his or her way into a company's network. Show up at the door saying you're a KPMG antipiracy agent, and you need access to the company's computers...
