Kevin Spacey Searches For Online Talent

from the cool dept

It seems that Hollywood really just can't get enough of the internet. It seems that over the past few years, any number of well known Hollywood personalities have tried to use the internet to help "discover" new talent. The latest is Kevin Spacey's attempt to help unknown screenwriters get noticed. The big difference, though, with Spacey's effort is that it's not designed to make him rich. It actually sounds like a pretty cool idea. They're asking people to submit their screenplays, in exchange for agreeing to read and review two other screenplays. Over time, a list of the 10 best will be picked, and eventually a "winner" chosen by a panel. Of course, they don't say what that winner will get, but it's the thought that counts.
