Nokia Launches EDGE Phone
Nokia has announced the first phone that's going to work on EDGE networks. This really is something of a non-announcement for most people. EDGE is yet another marginal step forward as the carriers push on towards a data rate that people might actually use on a regular basis. While folks who get down into the details of this stuff understand what's going on, making a new announcement every other month about what type of high speed network connection your latest phones support is only serving to confuse the end user, who really doesn't care.
