And so desperation begins to sink in. Mobile carriers in Europe are actively looking into offering porn services to boost 3G adoption rates and revenue. Since they realize doing so might bring a bit of a publicity backlash, they're trying to pre-empt the anger with a set of "ratings" on content for phones to indicate which content is of an adult nature. It's been said many times that plenty of technology innovation comes from the porn industry, so maybe this is just one more example.
