Public-Computer Users Beware

A college student who installed keystroke logging software on public computers at the university, and then used that information to steal about $2,000 has been indicted. Apparently, Douglas Boudreau set up the software, and then proceeded to compile a huge database of information that he collected, which included personal information about up to 4,800 different people. While the software he used is not identified, the article suggests it's any one of the many typical keystroke logging programs out there that jealous spouses often use. The simplicity with which this was done makes you wonder why there haven't been more cases like this. The reality is that this is probably done all the time. It's just that this guy got caught.
