More Students Get MBAs Online
from the is-it-worth-it? dept
When friends of mine are debating whether to do a part-time or a full-time MBA program, I always suggest they go for the full-time program. The most valuable part of business school isn't always what you learn or the degree you get - it's often the people you meet. That's much more difficult when you're not there very often. However, not everyone wants to give up 21 months of their working lives to experience business school, and having the degree on your resume certainly can help (and, depending on the school, some of what you learn may help as well...). So, I guess it's no surprise that online MBA programs are doing quite well, even if none of the top universities will go near them. While many top schools offer executive MBA programs, these still require the students to get together every once in a while.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.
Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.
While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.
