Proposal Would Give Mobile Users 30 Days To Cancel
As more and more politicians start exploring the idea of a "mobile phone user's bill of rights", one proposal in California would include a 30 day cancellation policy, so that any user could cancel their mobile phone contract within 30 days, with no penalty. This makes sense. There have been tons of complaints from people who have signed one or two year contracts, only to take their phone home and find out their home is in a dead spot. Of course, if you yell loudly enough, many carriers will cancel the contract in that situation anyway, but it would be nice to have it be the law, as well.
