Rational Exuberance: The Wireless Industry's Killer "B"

A few months back we had a post about how Starbucks had discovered the real value in offering WiFi in their stores was that their employees could use it to be much more productive. Now, some researchers have done a fascinating study showing that, despite all the hype about various wireless technologies, the area where it's really (surprisingly) taken off is in business-to-employee applications. This wasn't really expected, and they say it might have no impact on whether or not other wireless applications catch on in the future - but it is what's driving plenty of wireless adoption these days. Despite the hype, B2C and B2B wireless applications haven't completely caught on. But, within the workplace, there's a real groundswell for B2E.
