Summer Movies And Wireless Tie-Ins Continue
A few small successes and now every movie feels the need to have a "wireless tie-in". This is just typical movie promotions departments who look at ways to expand the movie brand to every imaginable medium that can be found. They've simply added wireless to the pot. Most of these will be somewhat pointless, and will only get attention for the novelty factor. I'm still waiting to see the wireless tie-in that's really innovative, and does something that really involves the recipient into the story of the movie itself. Trivia contests and special ringtones are nice, but when every movie has them, most people will ignore them.
