Mobile Phone Mania Surges, Ignorance In Tow

Apparently, it's not just in the US where consumers prefer a smaller phone and couldn't care less about all the additional features are offered. This article suggests a similar issue in the Middle East, where more people are buying mobile phones, but have no idea what all the features are for. This leads to a great quote from a phone buyer who says: "I didn't have the least idea what the seller was talking about; as if I am an expert in technology. I just found what I was looking for and I don't care about WAP and what he called blue or yellow tooth. I don't even remember the words." What was he looking for? A small phone. What the article actually suggests is that it's not that people don't care about the features, but they're confused and scared off by all the useless technical jargon.
