DoCoMo And 3 May End i-Mode Plans

As Hutchison's 3 service has faced difficulty after difficulty, it appears that NTT DoCoMo may be having second thoughts about their chosen UK partner in launching their i-mode service. According to this article, DoCoMo is out looking for a replacement partner to offer i-mode in the UK. The two companies have already had a bit of a battle over DoCoMo's investment in 3, so, the two companies aren't on particularly friendly terms right now. Of course, as the article points out, there may not be many willing partners for DoCoMo these days - as the benefits of offering i-mode as opposed to their own service aren't all that apparent.
