Datacasting Lives On In Watches And Movies On Demand

Wired News is running a story about how "datacasting" refuses to die. We've spoken about datacasting in reference to Microsoft's SPOT watches, but now Disney is trying to use the technology for their "movies on demand" offering. Of course, as the article (which quotes Alan Reiter extensively) points out, just about every attempt to use such one way data broadcasting systems never gets very far, though, every few years someone new comes along to say they've figured out a way to make it work.
