Wireless Adds A New Dimension To Navigation Systems

Navigation systems for cars are nothing new, but they've never quite lived up to the hype. Now, thanks to the increasing presence of wireless technologies that allow for increased communications some are looking at ways to use wireless technologies to make navigation systems much more useful - specifically when it comes to dealing with traffic jams. Current navigation systems tell you where you are and where you want to go, but generally don't have access to real time traffic information. That's starting to change, and it could be the sort of "killer app" that gets people to buy into these navigation systems. Now, if we can just add in another system that tells me where the police are hiding, we might really have something...
