Nextel Sued For Ditching Itemized Bill

A consumer group in California, The Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights, filed filed a lawsuit against Nextel for getting rid of their itemized bill, so customers have less of an idea of what they're being charged for. At the same time, they also sent SMS messages to customers (and charged them $0.15 for each message) without telling them they would be charged. Since there was no itemized bill, many customers had no idea what happened. This is the same group that, last month, sued Cingular and mentioned that they were preparing lawsuits against other carriers. It seems they've found their niche and are working it for all it's worth.
