Toshiba Pushing Wireless VoIP In Handhelds
Toshiba is buying into the whole VoWiFi thing, as their new handhelds come with built in WiFi and "VoIP capabilities". The "capabilities" aren't described in the article, but I'm assuming it's... software. Basically, any handheld device with the ability to have WiFi and with a speaker and and a microphone has "VoIP capabilities" as long as they get the right software. So, this seems like a lot more hype than substance. All Toshiba did was pre-install some VoIP software. However, with all the focus on VoWiFi these days, it appears to get them a little extra press attention.
