WiMax Confusion
For all the hype about WiMax, some are noting that too many variables in the WiMax spec, making it too easy to create incompatible WiMax systems. The fear is that, without a real standard, there will be a number of different systems that won't talk to each other. It's a little tough to tell without knowing the details, but some of this article sounds more like political pressure than actual fears. WiMax is still early on in the process, and it seems likely that compatibility issues will be ironed out eventually.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post.
