   Caller ID

   Last year my sister bought me a fabulous Caller ID box. It has 64K of RAM for storing a ton of names and numbers, it also has the ability to page me and leave the number of people that call while I'm away, or, most importantly, to block calls from various numbers.
   
   Once a call comes in from a number you no longer wish to receive calls (or faxes) from, you select that number in the list and then click "Copy To" and select "Block list".
   
   After that, any time that phone number shows up the caller ID box will 'pick up' the phone and then 'hang up' the phone so that the phone stops ringing. You can add "Blocked Call" and "Private Call" to the list so that you can block calls that try and hide their phone number.
   
   It may be the most used Christmas gift I've ever received.
