Sprint Thinks They Can Charge More For WiFi
Coming in on the "and what could they possibly be thinking?" category is the news that Sprint's WiFi service is
going to be priced at $50/month. This is so much higher than competitors that even the regular news media couldn't understand it and pulled together a variety of quotes from analysts wondering how Sprint thinks they can justify such an offering. They're not only competing against WiFi offerings that are less than half the price from well-known competitors, but also with all of the free WiFi providers out there. Not only that, but the WiFi they're offering right now is simply reselling the networks of Wayport (which
everyone resells) and Cometa (which isn't much at all). There
has to be an explanation for this, because right now it makes no sense. If a single person signs up, it will be amazing.
