When Your Car Gets The Blue Screen Of Death

from the electronics-everywhere dept

It's not a new story, but as automobiles become more reliant on new electronics systems, there are more and more stories about cars with bugs. Unlike with traditional mechanical problems, often these electronics problems are hitting high-end luxury cars first, since they are more likely to have "bleeding edge" level electronics systems in them. What's scary, though, as these electronics move further into critical systems within the car, more of these stories have safety implications, rather than just amusing anecdotes about windows that don't open.
