VW Gets The 'Dirt -- A Techdirt Corporate Intelligence Case Study

from the and-now,-a-word-from-out... dept

Back in November, when the Wall Street Journal wrote about Techdirt, they were the first to reveal publicly that Volkswagen was as customer of our Techdirt Corporate Intelligence services -- though, the article left some people confused about what we actually do for them. We've worked together with the folks at Volkswagen to come up with a great case study showing how we work with the automotive company, providing them a customized, private blog of news and analysis concerning a variety of technologies and trends that impact the automotive industry. VW is a great example of the type of customers we love to work with. They need to stay on top of all kinds of new technologies from around the world, and are always looking for what's happening in the technology world and how it may impact what they do today and in the future. Providing the analysis to help them stay ahead of the curve concerning any kind of technology that may impact the automotive world is a perfect example of the value we're providing all of our customers, across many different markets, from automotive to financial services to broadband to internet firms. Look for additional case studies going forward, as we try to demonstrate some of the other ways that companies use our corporate intelligence service.

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

    nice

That really sounds impressive, Mike. Sometimes I tend to forget there's a company behind the Techdirt blog.
