House Passes Not One, But Two Anti-Spyware Bills

Just as it's recommended that you use multiple anti-spyware products on your desktop to ward off the evils of spyware, the House of Representatives has decided to offer up two different anti-spyware laws, perhaps with the hope that the Senate will move forward on at least one of them. As expected, though, both bills are likely to run into issues in defining what exactly is wrong about spyware, and set up some potential unintended consequences with their current definitions. Either way, though, in today's political environment, it seems that passing anti-spyware legislation is in style.Thank you for reading this Techdirt post.
