Mobile Broadband... At Church

You wouldn't necessarily think of a church as one of the first places requesting wireless broadband service, but that's exactly what's happened in Cardiff, in Wales. Apparently, a vicar at a church there was upset that he couldn't access the citywide wireless himself, due to the church's thick walls -- and he was also hoping to attract more people to the church itself. So, he worked with BT to install a wireless node directly in the church, and is now allowing anyone to come in and surf away at any time. The only request from the church is that users respect the church and not play loud noises on their computers during services.
