Judge Tosses Out Lawsuit Against Citizen Journalism Site

Back in November of last year, we wrote about a citizen journalism site in Vermont that was being sued for content posted on the site. As we noted at the time, it seemed quite clear that the site itself was protected by section 230 of the CDA, which provides a safe harbor for sites, preventing them for being liable for content contributed by users. It would appear that a judge agrees and has dismissed the lawsuit, citing the safe harbor provisions of the CDA. Another victory for falsely blamed sites.

Lawyers should know better
Why are there so many Lawyers willing to take these cases, knowing they're going to get tossed out, making them selfs look like nothing but ambulance chasers (so to speak). Has the money become that good, that its worth their reputation...

The day a lawyer passes the bar his reputation is equal to that of a carnivorous turd

Some, after many years of hard work, honesty and integrity become human beings worthy of respect, while the majority remain remain somewhere on the scale between the turd and shark

everyone knows their is not a thing on the planet low enough to describe lawyers. (and estate agents)
