Last Call For Techdirt DMCA Takedown Shirt

from the last-call dept

Just a final reminder that if you want the Techdirt DMCA Takedown T-shirt, today is the last day to order them, either alone or with my Approaching Infinity book. And, remember, we also have the regular Techdirt logo t-shirt (and again, the logo t-shirt with the book) and the Techdirt logo hoodie, all of whose sales end tonight at midnight PT. The DMCA t-shirt has proven to be incredibly popular (sales have far outstripped our last t-shirt), so if you want in on the fun, make sure to order one in the next few hours. We're thrilled so many people like the shirt so much...

Thank you for reading this Techdirt post. With so many things competing for everyone’s attention these days, we really appreciate you giving us your time. We work hard every day to put quality content out there for our community.

Techdirt is one of the few remaining truly independent media outlets. We do not have a giant corporation behind us, and we rely heavily on our community to support us, in an age when advertisers are increasingly uninterested in sponsoring small, independent sites — especially a site like ours that is unwilling to pull punches in its reporting and analysis.

While other websites have resorted to paywalls, registration requirements, and increasingly annoying/intrusive advertising, we have always kept Techdirt open and available to anyone. But in order to continue doing so, we need your support. We offer a variety of ways for our readers to support us, from direct donations to special subscriptions and cool merchandise — and every little bit helps. Thank you.

Seriously, me too. I swore to get my order in before the end of the month, and I'll probably JUST barely make it. Holiday season blows...

i think a shirt that launches a meaningful conversation into how the copyright legal system is broken is really the best gift to anyone, and you would be doing your family a disservice by not purchasing it. And isn't that what the season's all about?

        :)

Uh, no, the holiday season is about spending exhorbenent(sp?) amounts of money on useless trinkets and electronics in a futile attempt to one up my friend's and family.

Or did you think this was all about some guy named Jesus?

No, because most of the members in my family would not grasp the meaning and the rest wouldn't appreciate the message. Oklahoma is full of fail.

I was compelled that last you made the 'time is running out' plea! I tried to resist, but the shirt is just too clever to pass up.

Re: Re: Georg Bush Xmas Cards

That'd actually be pretty awesome. It could be a picture of the Bush family around the gift Cheney sent them! It was supposed to be a Xmas goose he'd shot on a hunting trip...

...but instead you would just see the Bush family gathered around some anonymous staffer's bird-shot ridden corpse...

Out of curiosity Mike, would you make more money selling t-shirts or running Driod Ads on your site?

Unless the phrase is trademarked, simply exclude the techdirt logo and have any online custom T-shirt company replicate the shirt. Or change the font, the color of the shirt, and make it 3 lines of text instead of two and you created your own original work of art, I find it hard Mike would take issue with that.

no you can't! These shirts are SCARCE GOODS! If you are a real fan, you will cut out one of your vital organs and sell it on the black market to support the cause!

yeah, what's the deal here? Why the limited time offer? Are you destroying the silk screens after the last shirt in the run is sold??? Christ, just press some more...

      Re:

Not only will the screens be burnt, but also the shop that makes the shirts, and the designers are going to be shot in the morning. This is the only way to assure that these shirts are truly scarce. In order to double the value (and quadruple the price) they could potentially ask the designer to sign the shirts before his untimely demise.

I wanted a shirt with what it has on the front (perhaps a little larger so it's easier to read), but the techdirt thing on the back I didn't want.
